Yesterday was Springville High's Preference Dance! It's a girls choice dance and I asked Andy Priest. He was such a fun date. There was 6 couples in our group. I will tell you a little bit about this fabulous day.
So first off we went and picked up all the boys and went to lunch at Jo Banditos. After we headed up to the Festival of Colors at the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork.
There was SO much traffic on the way up, and we had to park like 10 miles away and walk through yucky, cow poo filled fields to get to the temple. But it was so worth it. Us girls had gone up the day before to buy all of the powdered chalk for the fight, so once we got there we didn't have to wait in lines.
So we finally got to the temple where literally thousands of people were just going crazy with this chalk. I got chalk in my eyes,(went blind for a few minutes) in my nose, in my mouth, in my ears.. just about everywhere.
We then had to take the long walk walk back to our cars. This girl offered to give us all a ride back in her trunk, so we accepted, and she got pulled over and probably got a big ticket. yikes. i felt so bad. :/
We rushed home, showered. Trying to scrub all the chalk off, (my scalp is still dyed pink), got in our dresses and picked up the boys again. We went to the dance at the Springville Art Museum, got pictures and danced for a while. It was a lot of fun. Then we all went to Taren's house and made cookies, and played ping pong and just hung out. By the time I got home at about 1:00 i was so tired. But it was a fabulous night. :)
